The reason why women are burning their hijabs in Iran?
The main reason why women are burning their hijabs in Iran? Women in Iran matched in troops to burn their hijabs because of the death of a 22 years old girl, Mahsa Amini, who was killed by the police in Iran because of her Hijab. It takes so much bravery for these women to speak up and fight for their rights.

Many people believe that it was the cops who repeatedly and secretly beat her on the head while she was in the van.
While the authorities denied all of this, saying that she suddenly suffered a heart attack. Mahsa’s family insists that she had no heart problems at all.
What is happening now in Iran might just become a huge moment of history. Remember George Floyd and how he was manhandled by the cops. What about Nigerians who came out to protest about the terrorizing things they faced in the hands or SARS and even the Police?
A country where not wearing your hijab is treated as a crime?
These women are bravely dancing and burning their headscarves. Crowds are cheering on these girls as they cut their hair in public. Even old women have joined the protest without fear.
Mahsa is one of the many victims who have suffered under Iran’s violent laws. She is one of the many women who were believed to be physically harassed, slapped, beaten with batons, and forced into police vans because authorities didn’t like how they dressed up, put on their make ups or even painted their nails.
We believe that Hijabs are sacred obligations for our Muslims sisters. It is supposed to be a beautiful symbol of their modesty, morals and freedom of choice. But the reality is that in some places, Hijab is misused as a symbol of oppression. And we need to say a Loud No against it. We need to be their voice.
Few years ago, the whole world was ready to speak out for Americans to protest against people who have abused their power, Now, the Iranians need us to do same for them. They need us to lend our voices because soon, they might not be able to speak anymore.
Why?
Iran government has already restricted their internet . Iran is starting to get threatened that her people are fighting back. We need to be their voice because they are risking their lives just to speak up like this. Because what they are experiencing now could easily be our reality. Any of you reading this, could have been born in that country too.
Now that you have known the reason why women are burning their hijabs in Iran, ARE YOU READY TO LEND YOUR VOICE?
