Episode 2: Shock and Delight

This episode  of Bridgerton open with a memory of Duke Simon and how his mother struggled to live after delivering him.

Later in the episode, the growth of Duke Simon and how despicable his father treated him during childhood were shown in different scenes.

In this episode, the ruse between the Duke and Daphne continues but Lord Berbrooke wouldn’t give up on Daphne especially now he already has an agreement with Anthony to marry Daphne.

Anthony sends all her suitors away and insist she must marry Berbrooke because he has a decent history.

Marina opens up to Penelope of her pregnancy and her love letters to George. Berbrook confront the Duke and landed him with a blow after he brought up his family issues.

Berbrook uses this opportunity to pose a threat that would dishonor the Bridgerton family if he doesn’t marry Daphne. Lady Bridgerton invites Lady Berbrook for a tea and Berbrook maid leaked a lot of secrets about Lord Berbrook including him having a son with a maid.

This led to the cancellation of the marriage with Daphne.
