The movie, ‘INNER BEAUTY- HOW LISA GOT HERSELF CONFIDENCE’ opens with a married woman, Elizabeth Jimah who doesn’t enjoy her marriage. She knows that was the best time to speak to her husband was during breakfast, especially knowing that most times her husbands keep late at night and sometimes doesn’t return home at all.
She tries to spice up the relationship, but it still ends up in vain. She believes it is a phase but not knowing that was the sad reality of her life.
Lisa was not bothered about money because her parent was very wealthy. They gave her the house that her and Charles lived in as a marriage gift, and they planned so well for her while she was growing up so that she could have enough fund for herself that she was able to pay for her husband law degree and his company. Her major concern was finding love in her home and making her husband love and cherish her.
Charles Jimah, her husband cheats with his secretary, Natalie, who has her own purpose and mission for flirting with Mr. Jimah.
One day, Mr. Jimah returns home and refused to eat the delicious meal that his wife prepared. Rather, he insisted he wanted to talk to her. He gives her the most shocking story of her life. Mr. Charles has already filed for a divorce after 10 years of their marriage without any child. He also complained about her weight gain.
Mrs Elizabeth makes efforts to bring him back so that he can change his mind about the divorce, but it proved abortive.
After the divorce was served, Charles proposed to Natalie. This dawned on Elizabeth that she must accept the reality and move on. Unknown to Charles, Natalie has a serious boyfriend in the same company. Their plans were to get an investment proposal approved by Mr. Jimah. Once that is done, they will leave the country without anyone knowing.
THE CLIMAX…
Lisa recovers from the heart break and moves on gradually. She begins to work out by doing her morning exercise and one day, she meets Mr. Kevin who was also doing his morning exercise. Gradually, Mr. Kelvin put her through the exercise and after two months, Lisa got her perfect body size.
On Lisa’s birthday, Kevin slept over in her house, make breakfast for her in the morning and gradually, the two of them bonded well and grew their love. On the other hand, Charles is a maid to his mistress, she doesn’t cook for him rather he cooks for her and do other chores not knowing the evil intention Natalie has for him.
Finally, Charles signs the investment proposal. Unknown to Charles, Natalie and her boyfriend, Marcus
left the country after he signed the document. He was only able to notice he didn’t have money again after he couldn’t pay for his bills at the restaurant.
He is shattered, angry and devastated and wants his wife, Elizabeth back. Unfortunately, Kevin has taken a bolder step to spend his life with Lisa and even got her pregnant.
The movie centered on themes like love, patience, greed, faithfulness, cheating, heartbreak.
