There was a time I was paying her monthly. There was a time it was on a contract basis; if there’s a job to be done, I inform her. She does it and I pay her. Sometimes I just pay her to design an Elementor page template for me to add content to because that way, I can complete my work fast and edit even faster.
How did I discover her?
I think she sent me a request or I sent her.
And then I started reading her posts about web design and about cartflow integrations. She was making a lot of sense and she was sharing her designs too.
I saw that she had an eye for design and I immediately knew I needed her on board. The funny thing is, I don’t even know up to 3 good designers on the social media platforms I belong to
You might think there’s a saturation of web designers till you need help on a project. That is when you’ll understand that there’s a serious scarcity of good web designers who can deliver fast and has an eye for design and conversion.
For example, if you are in the web design industry, you are lucky to be in an industry with relatively little competition. So, take advantage of it.

- Share content everyday about web design. What you’re learning. What you’re trying out (shows us pictures and videos).
- Tell us how good web design can grow a business.
- Tell us how to optimize websites for speed and conversion.
- Keep educating us daily.
- Make an offer every other day. Invite people to work with you. You could charge 30 to 50k to design a website. Then 10k for annual maintenance.
- Join plenty Facebook groups that contain your target audience.
- Share those valuable contents that is already on your wall. Share it on those groups. People will read them and want to connect with you.
- They will become your friends and followers. They will know you, like you and trust you.
- Eventually, they will buy from you.
- Every business has a need for a website. From a wig seller, down to a copywriter. We all can make use of a website.
- There are over 3 million registered businesses in Nigeria. And every day, more people are taking the entrepreneurship route.
- Most importantly, be consistent.
- Be patient with your growth and keep pushing further
- If you stay consistent with this for 3 or 6 or 12 months, you’ll get to a point where you can charge 200k for one web job, and you can get as much as 5 web jobs monthly. Making you a clean 1 million Naira monthly.
- But you’ll probably struggle to do this because you lack guidance and continuous support, as well as accountability.
