In episode 2 of Heartstopper, a lot of messages between Nick and Charlie showed that they both of them liked each other. His friends, Tao and Isaac warns him about getting hurt by Nick because he was a straight guy, and, especially when his click of friends bullied him last semester.

Taro Jones, Darcy and Elle becomes friends and got to know each other better.

Nick shows Charlie his dog on his phone and invites him to his house to see his dog. At the house, they both played video games, had fun and went out to play with the snow.

Tao tells Charlie that Nick has a girlfriend, Taro Jones. They meet with Elle and pleads she gets more information about Taro Jones since they were both in the same class.

Imogen has a crush on Nick and with the pressure from his friends, he had to carry her along respectfully so that he doesn’t hurt her feelings badly.

Nick visits Charlie at his home and Charlie thought him how to play the drum.
