7 conversations to have with your kids at dinner time to make them smarter

These questions will strengthen not only your family bond but will make your kids smarter. These conversations instill values into them as they grow up and make future decisions.

Dinner time is a great opportunity to connect together as a family or unit. It also gives us a unique opportunity to learn from our kids. Here are the 7 conversations to have with your kids below

1. ‘If I say yes to anything you ask, what would you ask me’–

   This questions helps you get into your child’s world and see what their biggest wish is. It makes you have a picture of the kind of choices they would like to make to satisfy their needs.

   

2. ‘If you could be any animal, what would you be and why”
   

   This is a general question that are also being asked to adults. Playful questions like that help you to know your child deeper and it keeps them engaged in the conversation. Once you ask this question, the conversation continues and may not end.

3. If you could have any superpower, what would you have and why?-
   

   This questions helps to you to get into your child’s inner world. Kid watch a lot of cartoons and are somewhat familiar with some super powers and carton animations. They could tell you that they want to have a power to disappear because of bullies in their schools. At this point, you have gotten into your child’s level and mind.
   

4. What was one kind thing you saw someone do today?

   This question encourages kindness in your family and make your child aware of ways they col extend such kindness to other.

5. What’s the thing that you learned today?

   They could learn good or evil from what they observed. It could be someone showing kindness and it could be someone fighting. This keeps them alert of every action they make. It helps your child develop mindset to remember that we all learn and grow every day.
   

6. What was one mistake that you made today?

   This question is very important as most people shy away from accepting their mistakes or event talking about it. Normalize this question for your kids so that they understand that we all make mistakes everyday which sharpens and makes us grow better every day.

7. Truth and lie games

   This game reveal certain things about kids on what they can do and what they are not capable of doing.
