Fistful of vengeance Movie Review: It is 2022 America Supernatural action thriller movie which was released on February 17th 2022 and directed by Roel Reine.
The movie opens up with three friends- (the avengers), Tommy Wah, Kai Jin and Lewis Tan, who wanted to take revenge for the death of Tommy’s sister, Jenny Wah, which eventually becomes a fight to save the world from an ancient threat, myths and stories of Pangu. Kia Jin seems to have the ancient supernatural power and appears to the be the strongest among his friends.
Their appearance in a club in Bangkok was to gain some information about the death of Jenny but unfortunately, it was not possible to get all the information. While in the club, a spirt speaking through the club members directed them to meet him in an archeology site where he would reveal who killed Jenny
At the Archaeology site, they met Dr. William Pan, the twin brother to the Ku An Qi. He told them the popular Chinese story of Pan Gu who modified the earth and his unending war.
Dr. Pan lied to them them that Jenny took a talisman belonging Ku, the killer of Jenny, and that if he could get it, he could half, he could stop all her plans of his powerful sister, Ku.
The tree friends had a disagreement on their mission to Vee Hotel to kill Ku; but later discovered they all have individual weaknesses they need to control to have a successful mission. Tommy’s weakness was anger, Kai was guilt and Lewis was Ego.
INTERMISSION:
For them to gain access to the hotel and also to kill Ku, they hooked up with Preeya. Preeya assisted them in the hotel but later in the movie, she betrayed them by handling the talisman to Ku and her brother after they promised her that if they change the world, they could bring back her dead family back to life.
On their mission in the Hotel, they met Agent Zulu or Zama who later becomes part of their team after discovering their mission was to seek revenge and save the world.
They were all wounded at the hotel and Preeya took them to her village where they met her uncle who is a Charlatan. He explained to them that Williams Pan and his sister, Ku were opposite forces but they were not in opposition to each other.
He told them they have been working in harmony throughout their birth with the purpose of reforming back to Pangu, and using their power, they would remake the world in their image.
He explained to them that the Darwin was broken and the only thing they needed was to harness the power of the Chi. He told them that the two pieces had the power of their own and if they can infuse the two halves with the power of Kai’s Chi, then they could take over the world.
At the end, the five team defeated Williams Pan and Ku and saved the world.
One of the flaws of this movie is that the protagonist team had only one powerful person, defeating two powerful people Antagonist team. It makes it so unbelievable but the protagonist factor in any movie, they are always safe, and always get victory.
The way the movie was hyped in Netflix, was not the way it was presented if watched. You would probably be expecting more than what was presented in the movie.
However, the graphics, settings and visuals were remarkable and bringing the ancient myths and Chinese history, Pan Gu, into the movie is well appreciated.
